An early learning centre with heart.

care

We offer a higher than required staff-to-child ratio and care for children aged 2.5-5. We have created an environment encouraging independence, stimulating curiosity, and supporting an eagerness for learning, with a particular focus on social development. Our routine allows for flexibility for individual needs but also provides security and predictability so children learn to anticipate the day.

community

Supported by the North Sydney Council, we are a non-profit community-based centre proudly running for over 15 years. The preschool was established by parents in the local community, offering an affordable service. Our funding and fees directly deliver and enrich the quality of the preschool. We believe a connectedness with parents and family is imperative to our centre’s success.

curriculum

We have a developmentally appropriate program aiming to nurture and encourage each child to develop at their own pace. Every child is seen as a unique and special person and the overall program is planned according to each child’s learning needs, strengths and interests. Activities and experiences find a balance between the structured and unstructured, focused on a play-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework.

From small beginnings come great things

  • Each child has the right to be an individual and to have their physical and emotional needs catered for at all times.

Our care and program are of the highest possible standard and reflect the latest knowledge and ideas.

The individuality of parents and families is respected and our practice of care and education is appropriate to the child’s family and situation.

Our practice respects and reflects the community’s aspirations for the care and education of young children.

Our centre is responsibly managed and the service provided is affordable within our community.

The individual needs of staff and educators are respected and the centre provides a supportive environment for their personal and professional needs.

Our centre is open from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday to Friday.

Parents are responsible for providing their child with a morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on the days they attend. The preschool does not make food.

If your child is not toilet trained, parents will be responsible for providing nappys on the days their children attend.

Monday-Tuesday we typically have our older group at the centre (3-5 years old)

Wednesday-Friday we typically have our younger group at the centre, with older children welcome as well (2.5-5 years old)

Though we have scheduled bio breaks, children are continually encouraged to use the toilet throughout the day and nappys are changed on an as-needs basis.

We currently partner with SoccaJoeys for an outdoor play session once a week.

We have several celebratory days that the schedule adapts to, these are noted on a monthly activities calendar.

A daily photo gallery is sent to parents via our app, HubHello.

We’re happy to be upfront and transparent with our fees because we are for kids, not for profit.

We support Child Care Subsidy and the Start Strong program.
